Dinesh is a President of Ayna and a core member of the deal team’s leadership group driving all aspects of investing – sourcing, developing value creation thesis and diligence. In addition, Dinesh takes an active operating role in the portfolio companies to orchestrate performance transformation and an eventual exit.

Dinesh has over 25 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, PE/VC, and operating roles. Prior to Ayna, Dinesh was a member of the executive committee and Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer of Ally Financial, where he was recruited to drive the company’s evolution with a primary focus on growth, product diversification, and innovation. He led several transformative acquisitions, drove the entry of Ally into the unsecured lending business (credit card & POS), revamped the mortgage and brokerage businesses, and helped reimagine Ally’s digital journey. Earlier, Dinesh held various leadership positions across strategy, payments, and retail banking at Citigroup and Capital One, where he drove transformation, expansion, and optimization efforts across business units. He began his career in engineering at Micron Technology, later serving industrial and financial services clients at McKinsey. Dinesh holds 75+ patents in semiconductor material processing.

Dinesh has served on public and private boards including Better.com (NASDAQ: BETR), FTV Capital, and StreetShares. He is also an active board member at Carolina Serves, a non-profit focused on improving people’s lives through tennis.
